The growth of our Middle School

The growth of our Middle School shows that there is a place for a Steiner Middle School in Mparntwe, Alice Springs.

The town is supportive of an alternative high school and when we look at the number of students beginning in Class 7 or Class 8 we see that an alternative high school in our town is necessary. Currently we are applying for a variance in our school registration to enable us to continue into Class 9 in the future.

However, to continue with the middle school we need to build classrooms as the classes are currently in our school hall. The new classrooms will be on the east side of the basketball court in an area that will need to be build up like the current Class 5 and 6 room.. The new buildings will also have their own toilet block so both black and grey water will have to be treated.

To look at the problems, we are asking for people with building and land knowledge to volunteer expertise by joining a Buildings and Lands committee. Please let Dina know.
