About the Secondary School

We at The Alice Springs Steiner School (TASSS) are very excited to announce the welcoming of Class 7 in 2019.

New families are already inquiring for their children turning 13 to embark on a new journey at our Steiner School.
The preparatory work for TASSS to introduce a High School started in 2016 with the proposal for the build. A Financial Feasibility study and a new Master Plan was completed in 2017 in connection with the commencement of the structural building to start this year in 2018.

The curriculum that the high school will follow is the Australian Curriculum Framework which is recognized by the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) for classes 7 to 10.

This curriculum which was developed by Steiner Education Australia (SEA) fosters independent thinking, creative problem solving, and a sense of confidence equipping high school students for future challenges. It is a curriculum that stresses practical knowledge and resourcefulness of imagination.

Steiner graduates understand information and learn using the arts, as opposed to memorizing isolated facts. They are flexible, original and willing to take intellectual risks. Graduates from Steiner education are passionate about achieving their goals and are highly sought after in higher education and employment.

More information about the Secondary School will be provided at a later date due to the building of the Classrooms.
